Healthy Start

Healthy Start is designed to support first time parents who qualify by providing them with advocacy, as well as education regarding child safety, child health, disease prevention, child development, and parenting skills. Public Health Nurses and Outreach Paraprofessionals begin home visits with first time parents prenatally or within the first few weeks after the infant’s birth and continue offering this support for up to 3 years.

Referrals are received from The Central Referral System and community agencies. Information about the services is available by calling 880-2159.
